The journal makes the following statement related to the above-mentioned published article:
1. Description of Clarivate Observation on the Paper’s Content
‘The direct relevance of journal’s aims and scope’ regarding this paper’s title and content ‘is unclear’.
2. Action Taken
While at the time of submission, the quality of life was only indirectly linked to the journal’s aims and scope, and the responsible co-editor believed a discussion on it would help the general physical health and nutritional status of patients.
Nevertheless, in order to make clear our journal’s basic aims and scope and to avoid similar observations of Clarivate in future, we decided to slightly modify the journal’s aims as follows:
Instead of:
The Italian Journal of Food Science (ISSN: 1120-1770) is an international is … to the Mediterranean region.
Its expanded scope includes:

Food engineering, food production, food management, and economic, environmental, and social sustainability of the food and nutrient industry and supply chain.

Food safety and nutrition, and environmental aspects of food processing.
We modify the above statement as under:
The Italian Journal of Food Science (ISSN: 1120-1770) is an international is … to the Mediterranean region.
Its expanded scope includes:

3. Impact of the Statement
The journal confirms that these corrections are made to add clarity to the journal’s aims and scope.
4. Acknowledgment
The author did not respond to the journal’s repeated request to acknowledge these issues; hence, this corrigendum is published without author’s input.
