The journal wishes to make the following statement related to the previously published article:
Description of Clarivate observation on the paper content:
“the direct relevance to the Journal aims and scope” of this paper title and content “is unclear”.
While the NAC supplementation is a no-food compound, the responsible co-editor believed that its use in the COVID period could help the general physical and nutritional status of patients.
Nevertheless, in order to making clearer our Journal’s basic aims and scope, and to avoid similar really specific and marginal observations of Clarivate in the future, we decided to slightly modify the published text of the Journal aims as follows.
Instead of:
“The Italian Journal of Food Science (ISSN: 1120-1770)” is an international ………. to the Mediterranean Region.
Its expanded scope includes:
food engineering; food production; food management; economic, environmental, and social sustainability of food and nutrients industries and supply chain; food safety and nutrition, and environmental aspects of food processing.
We modify as:
The “Italian Journal of Food Science (ISSN: 1120-1770)” is an international ………. to the Mediterranean region.
Its expanded scope includes:
food engineering, food production, food management, economic, environmental, and social sustainability of food and nutrients industries and supply chain; food safety and nutrition linked to food and nutrients.
The journal confirms that these corrections will add clarity to the Journal’s aims and scope.
